Every year, men and women return to our community from prison. Most come back with no ID, no job, no housing, and no plan.
With no path forward, many fall back into the same habits of addiction and criminal behavior that put them away, and the cycle starts over.
That revolving door isn't just their problem. This cycle of relapse and reoffending affects everyone in the community with higher crime, more broken families, and roughly $30,000 of taxpayer money per person, every year, to send the same people back to prison.

Partners In Hope of NW Ohio is a coalition of local employers, service providers, faith communities, and volunteers who give people coming home a hand up, not a handout.
Because everyone who's willing to do the work deserves the chance to become a contributing member of this community.
We help remove barriers to affordable housing, sustainable employment, mental health/addiction recovery services, and transportation.
We offer moral support and mentorship.
We want to strengthen this community through our actions, creating a safer and more prosperous place to live.

At The Door
We connect people coming home to the essentials: a job, a place to live, transportation, food, personal items, and an ID, so they can stand on their own feet from day one.

Through life-skills coaching, mentorship, mental health and addiction support, and steady accountability, we help people stay on track instead of sliding back.

They earn a paycheck, support their families, and become neighbors who contribute...
not statistics who re-offend.
Housing
We help provide affordable, stable, transitional housing so our returning neighbors have a basic need met, allowing them to more easily focus on rebuilding their lives.
Job Opportunities
We work to connect motivated workers with local employers who need them. Second-chance workers often demonstrate higher motivation, stronger loyalty, and better retention than the general workforce.
Transportation Help
Without reliable transportation, even the best opportunities can slip away.
We can help with rides to work, support for obtaining a license, and pay for car repairs, so they can stay on track and move forward.
Mental Health and Addiction Services
We help connect individuals to compassionate, professional care for mental health and substance use challenges, helping them build resilience, maintain sobriety, and heal the root causes, not just the symptoms.
Mentorship and Moral Support
No one should walk this journey alone.
Through mentoring and moral support, we offer a consistent, caring presence. Someone to listen, encourage, and believe in each person’s potential for lasting change.
